Founder David Pearson was a member of the original Sea Pines Plantation team and went on to promote Laurance Rockefeller’s Rockresorts properties in the Caribbean. From those fortuitous beginnings, his firm grew to include some of the hallmark resort and club communities throughout the nation.
Pearson and his firm have become nationally known for their successes in inaugurating and branding new resort communities. Among the many examples are Casa de Campo, Rose Hall, Puntacana Resort & Club, and Desert Mountain.
He is an accredited member of the Miami chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and received their Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004. In 1991 he was given the coveted President’s Award of the Florida Audubon Society for his work in conservation. He has served as advisor, writer and strategist on the political campaigns of former U.S. Senator (former Governor) Bob Graham, and former Florida Governors Lawton Chiles, Rubin Askew and LeRoy Collins.
He served in both the Kennedy and Johnson Administrations in Washington and is a Korean War-era veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Emory University.
Chris Pearson has 20-plus years’ experience in providing high quality public relations services to resort communities throughout the United States and the Caribbean. A History major at the University of Miami, Chris has an affinity for the local culture and history of his clients’ locations. Some of his experience has been “on the other side of the desk;” he headed up public relations at Amelia Island Plantation, the Marriott at Sawgrass and Cheeca Lodge Resort & Spa.
His specialties include a wide knowledge of golf, travel, real estate and lifestyle media; an enviable writing style which evokes the essence of his clients’ properties; and varied experience in conceiving and carrying out major special events.
Account Coordinator Stephanie Chahin grew up in San Pedro Sula, Honduras and moved to Los Angeles to attend Pepperdine University where she received her BA in Marketing Communications. As a recent Marketing graduate, Stephanie specializes in social media and brings to the table a new understanding as to how it plays into the marketing and public relations world today.
